The **can of Crosse & Blackwell cream of shrimp soup** was a movie prop used in the //[[ma_and_pa]]// movies, specifically //[[wp>Ma and Pa Kettle Back on the Farm]]// (1951, 80 mins.) and //[[wp>Ma and Pa Kettle on Vacation]]// (1953, 76 mins.), that became a part of [[gamato]]'s movie prop collection, bought with the assistance of and loaned to [[gregg]] for use in the //[[pepboys]]// movie. Gregg noted that the can cost $500 to acquire.[(cite:s14e04>[[s14e04]])] Following G. Amato's resignation from [[amatogroup]] and placement in a retirement home, the movie was scrapped. The prop and several others remained in Gregg's possession until [[tim]], then going by New Heidecker, demanded that Gregg return all of the movie props to G., who was now living in the [[themanor]].

As seen in the //[[oscar11]]//, the can briefly returned back home to the original Universal Studios shooting location of //Ma and Pa Kettle//, which is now a Harry Potter themed area of the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park, though Gregg did not leave the can there.

The prop appears to not have been made specifically for the movies, as Crosse & Blackwell is an [[wp>Crosse & Blackwell|actual brand]] and cream of shrimp soup was a product they sold at one point, and as such, the 7 decade old can contained actual soup inside. G. opened the can of soup and ate its contents on November 18, 2025, the same day he passed away. As such, Tim blames the long-expired can of soup for G.'s death. At G.'s [[s16e09|funeral]], his brother [[giorgio]] vowed to investigate who gave him access to "that poison".
