Mel is a fictional character and one of the four main characters in Dootle Dots. Is Mel a guy or a girl? They appear to be a mostly silent protagonist, only saying one line during all of the Last Oscar Special. During the first episode, they only snicker.
Mel was created by show creators New Amato and G. Amato alongside the other three main characters of Dootle Dots during an arts and crafts session at the Grand Terrace Manor, about a week before G. Amato's untimely demise.[1] Final touches to the character design were added by animation supervisor Aidan Boyle.
Design
Mel is a purple circle with stick arms and legs. They have black dots for eyes and a simple mouth.
