Synopsis
Tim enters the stage with an upbeat “lights, camera, action!” and introduces himself as “your announcer,” before introducing the host, Mr. Greeegg Turkington! Tim and Gregg are flanked by display stands on which a variety of VHS tapes and buckets of popcorn are propped. Almost immediately, however, Tim shows signs of discontent when he asks Gregg which film is in store for today.
It's a controversial one, namely, Solo: A Star Wars Movie. As an expert, Gregg is forced to make an unprecedented choice: he declines to review the film. This is in protest of George Lucas and his minions, who are guilty of lifting Gregg's Master Codebreaker character from Decker and “folding it into the Star Wars world.” Until Gregg receives his due credit, he is boycotting the film.
To make up for the lack of a movie review on this episode, however, Gregg has decided to review “many, many, many Popcorn Classics.” He has brought in stacks upon stacks of them, and will go through as many as time allows. The first one is Double Exposure, a “revenge movie” that lasts an hour and a half, plus three minutes. Next is Blackheart, a Christopher Plummer film about “a sexy seductress” and the con artist subculture. It's 95 minutes, two minutes longer than the previous selection. Good for a double feature, Gregg suggests, before handing the tape to an increasingly agitated Tim. Next, Gregg pulls out Blade, starring Wesley Snipes, coming in at 91 minutes, again close to the half-hour mark…
…“I can't do it,” Tim suddenly interrupts. Gregg says Tim's job is easy, but Tim insists “this is not who I am”- he is supposed to be a “fighter,” but instead he is “laying down like a dog.” At his wit's end, Tim shouts “F*CK THIS!” and smacks a tub of popcorn off of a display stand, sending Gregg scurrying off set.
Tim goes on a vitriolic rant against the Delgados, insisting his conscience is clean, Chris Delgado is in hell, and that the Electric Sun 20 were responsible for their own choices. He vows to run for district attorney of San Bernardino County to get revenge on Vincent Rosetti and Mark Dwyer, and says he will shut down the Victorville Film Archives. All the while, he bounds aimlessly around the stage, trashing the set.
The episode closes with a campaign ad for Tim's candidacy for district attorney, with a glowing endorsement from Joe Estevez.
