The sixteenth season of On Cinema at the Cinema premiered October 1, 2026 on HEI Network. The season was originally titled On Cinema at the Cinema at the ESA, as it was being filmed in Gregg Turkington's room at the HEI Network ESA Campus for budgetary concerns. From the fifth episode onward, the show moved to Grand Terrace Manor, G. Amato's current retirement home, and was renamed On Cinema at the Cinema at the Manor.
Before the season started, the roundup2025 aired on June 18, 2025, and was the first Summer Movie Roundup presented as a video. Following the collapse of the Movie House during the 12th Annual On Cinema Oscar Special, the recap shows that Tim, continuing to go by New Heidecker, and Gregg have moved into an Extended Stay America hotel, establishing the HEI Network ESA Campus inside. add more details of any lore dumped in the roundup
The ESA episodes were notably more sparse than recent seasons, with the only guest outside of Gregg to appear in the four episode run being "Big" Mike Sather. Following the move to the Manor, however, the main On Cinema at the Cinema series gained a live audience for the first time, consisting of G. Amato and his fellow senior citizens.
New began using riogenesis products for the first time since season X, and found that it helped what exactly has he claimed it's doing this season? I forgot. However, he has notable health issues in a few episodes, like having to rush to the bathroom mid-taping[1] or forgetting that they had already discussed a film.[2] New is also in the process of suing sizzler for something with Toni and Joe right? with help from Grok.
Gregg, meanwhile, has found interest in movie titles that end in “: The Movie”, which he thinks helps prevent consumers from confusing a film like Superman from being a TV series, comic book, or other form of media. He begins printing “: The Movie” stickers and suggests that movie buffs add the stickers onto covers of films to clarify that the film is, indeed, a movie.
