Synopsis
A coughing, sniffling Tim welcomes the viewers to the latest virtual-reality episode of On Cinema, which he says has been a “big hit.” He claims he is suffering from pollen and allergies, not a cold as Gregg alleges. Nevertheless, he announces that he has “cut ties with Rio-Jenesis,” as the Delgados have come after the sponsorship as well. He goes on an extended rant about the Delgados, despairing that they are ruining him.
Gregg reads another open letter he wrote to Tim Burton, who did not reply to Gregg's letter from two weeks ago. This new letter ratchets up the pressure on Burton to directly answer why he did not direct Sherlock Gnomes, and invites him to appear on the show to restore his reputation with the film buff community. Tim, increasingly irritated, tells Gregg he's “sick of the Tim Burton shit,” and says to “let it go.”
The first film, Rampage, is based on 80s arcade games. Tim enjoyed it, and gives it 5 bags. Gregg says there are too many other films called Rampage, causing confusion for film archivists. He nonetheless ranks it second-best of the six Rampages, and also gives it highest marks. Tim hurriedly introduces the next film, Super Troopers 2, although the unnecessarily complex names of the cast give him some fits. He calls it a “good movie,” although Gregg would upgrade that to “great.” Gregg also wishes they had called it Super Twopers, but still gives it highest marks. Tim, recovering from a nasty coughing fit, transitions the show to Popcorn Classics.
Gregg has picked The Life of David Gale, a murder mystery that is rated R. After the show closes out, Tim hurries off set to go lay down; Gregg soon leaves as well, leaving Max to dismantle the VR equipment.
