The Last On Cinema Oscar Special, also known as The 13th Annual On Cinema Oscar Special, aired March 16, 2026. The special was hosted by New Amato. Despite the billing and promotion as this not only being “The Last” Oscar Special but the end of On Cinema at the Cinema overall, New ultimately admitted that at the end of the show there is a “small chance” the series would return.

• A Dootle Dots website was launched near the start of the special and was where users voted for their favorite character.
  • Later, shortly before the premiere of the pilot, the site was changed to instead allow users to rate the first episode, using the traditional popcorn scale. After voting, users were shown the average score… of 1 bag of popcorn.

• The special was delayed by roughly 10 minutes due to, naturally, technical difficulties with the site not loading.
  • For the fourth time in the six overall HEI Network Oscar Specials, an alternative stream that was also publicly accessible was made available for those who had difficulties connecting. The OCATC social media account asked fans who watched for free to buy a ticker after-the-fact to help support the show.
• The Dootle Dots art style is heavily inspired by “object shows” that have a significant following among kids and older audiences on YouTube, especially Battle for Dream Island.
