Synopsis
The episode opens with an ad for MoneyZap by Tim. After the introduction, Tim thanks himself for putting the ad out there, although Gregg is peeved, saying it doesn't belong on the show. Gregg says Tim should air the Classic Movie Time segment he prepared rather than advertising unrelated companies; Tim gets exasperated with Gregg's unsolicited opinions. The two bicker for a few moments before moving onto the movies, although in the course of the argument it is revealed that Tim took on a lot of debt buying back On Cinema from Delgado Media Holdings.
First up is Joker. Tim is thrilled to see Robert deNiro as the Joker, and calls it “an interesting movie” about Joker's origins. He says he was “rooting against Batman” due to how the filmmakers “flipped the script.” Gregg also praises deNiro's performance and rates the film highly, but he throws in a ticket to the movie with his rating, so Tim can actually watch it. He informs Tim that Joaquin Phoenix, not deNiro, plays the Joker. Tim hurriedly moves the show along.
For the next segment, Tim invites on a special guest who has navigated some “very challenging” medical issues lately, Mark Porch. (Gregg seems a bit confused.) To start with, Mark demonstrates his new Johnny Carson impression. Tim then asks him some questions about his coma, beginning with who snapped him out of it (Tim). He then informs Mark he is speaking with a Medicaid fraud expert, John Stotten, to make sure Mark is compensated for having been taken advantage of during his coma. While Tim transitions to the end of the show, Gregg whispers to Mark that he spent all the Medicaid funds on Mark's care.
Tim ends the show with a silent prayer, like last week.
